DimmerPro is a simple macOS menu bar app that dims your screen's brightness in software. The app itself does not collect, store, or share any personal data with third parties. All dimming, preset, and scheduler functionality happens entirely on your device. The in-app purchase feature is processed through Apple's own App Store infrastructure (StoreKit) — that flow is explained separately below.
DimmerPro does not collect any analytics, tracking data, advertising identifiers, or usage statistics on its own. The app has no account creation, sign-in, or personal information entry of any kind.
Your dimming levels, presets, scheduler settings, and hotkey preferences are stored
only on your device, using Apple's standard UserDefaults
mechanism. This data is never sent off your device.
DimmerPro's core dimming features are always free. Pro features such as multi-display sync, the scheduler, up to 4 presets, and the global hotkey are unlocked with a single one-time in-app purchase. This purchase is processed entirely through Apple's own App Store/StoreKit infrastructure: your payment details go directly to Apple, never to DimmerPro — DimmerPro never sees or stores your card or payment information. Your purchase status (e.g. whether the Pro unlock is active) is read from Apple's secure StoreKit ledger. During this process your device communicates with Apple's servers — this is not a network connection DimmerPro initiates itself, but part of the App Store's purchasing infrastructure.
DimmerPro itself does not connect to any server, perform cloud sync, or include any third-party analytics/advertising SDK. Other than the in-app purchase flow described above, the app does not connect to the internet.

Beyond these, the app does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive data category.
DimmerPro does not knowingly collect any data from children, because it does not collect data from any user.
